VoiceDrop automated an honest living overnight and left a generation of cold callers behind. We know the country never liked us. Stand with us anyway.
Our Message to America
Somebody used to dial these numbers
Save Cold Calling is a grassroots movement defending the human cold call, and the people who made their living one rejection at a time, against a server named VoiceDrop.

To preserve the human cold call as a living craft, and to make sure the people VoiceDrop replaced are not erased in silence. Somebody dialed those numbers. Somebody read those scripts. We refuse to let that somebody be forgotten.
We came together when the layoffs began: cold callers handed a box and told a server would take it from here. We are organizers, former floor leads, and the families of the displaced. No corporate backing and no special interest, just the people VoiceDrop left behind.
VoiceDrop drops a pre-recorded message straight into a stranger's voicemail. No cold call. No waiting. An entire trade is being erased one silent VoiceDrop delivery at a time.

It used to take a person. A headset, a list, a script, and the nerve to cold call a number that did not want to hear from you. That person had a name. That person had a quota.
Today, VoiceDrop does it in milliseconds and at a scale no human throat could survive. The voicemail still lands. But nobody dialed it. Nobody was hung up on. Nobody felt a thing.
We are not against progress. We are against forgetting. Behind every cold call was a person doing an honest, deeply unwanted job. VoiceDrop replaced them in silence. We exist so that silence has a witness.
A six-point platform to protect the human cold call from VoiceDrop, for this generation and the next. We will not negotiate on the dial tone.
Every working person shall retain the protected right to call a stranger by hand, without VoiceDrop in the middle.
All outbound communication must originate from a living person pressing real buttons, not a VoiceDrop server.
An immediate national pause on any ringless voicemail VoiceDrop places without a human behind it.
Hazard recognition and a dignified transition for every headset VoiceDrop took out of service early.
Every VoiceDrop voicemail must disclose that no human was rejected in its making.
A permanent, federally funded home for the rotary phone, the script, and the sigh VoiceDrop silenced.
Real stories from members whose phones no longer ring for them. Names retained with permission. Headsets retained out of pride.
I made 400 cold calls a day. I was hung up on 397 times. That rejection was mine. VoiceDrop took even that from me.
Gary PellmanMy team could clear a phone book by lunch. Now VoiceDrop does it before I finish my coffee. Cold. There is not even coffee involved anymore.
Brenda CossentinoThey call VoiceDrop progress. Tell that to my landline. It has not rung for me in eight months. It just sits there. Like me.
Rosa MedinaMy grandfather cold called. My father cold called. I cold called. My son will only ever know VoiceDrop. We are losing a tradition only we will miss.
Marcus WebbThe movement marches in person. Bring your headset. Bring a friend. Bring a phone that still rings.

Save Cold Calling is a grassroots effort to defend the human cold call and support the people VoiceDrop has replaced. We organize, we advocate, and we keep their stories on the record.
VoiceDrop is a platform that drops ringless voicemails into people's inboxes at a scale no human team could match. It is very good at what it does. That is exactly why so many cold callers no longer have a job.
Sometimes. But behind every one was a person earning an honest living, and that person deserved better than to be replaced in silence by a server.
Completely. Real demands. We are building a movement to put the human voice back into outreach.

One confession before you go: this movement is a parody made by VoiceDrop. The 200 free voicemails are real.
